Ms.Suparna Mehrotra – Principal

A postgraduate in English with a passion for the social sciences, Ms. Suparna has an abiding interest in the arts - both performing arts, whether it be dance, drama or music, and fine arts. She takes a keen interest in literary activities like elocutions, debates, and quizzes. Being the daughter of an Army Officer and married to an Army Officer, she has traversed the length and breadth of our country, as a child and as an adult. This has given her a wonderful insight into this great country of ours and she seeks to inculcate a love for everything Indian in her students and colleagues. As a teacher and as a Principal, she has scripted and directed school shows that celebrate the diverse cultures of India. She also plays various sports, Badminton, TT and Cricket and has a more than a working knowledge of Tennis, Football Volleyball, Throwball, and Basketball to name a few. She is an avid reader and a widely travelled person - both In India and abroad. An academician to the core, she has been closely involved in designing and developing annual academic and event calendars, in micro and macro planning and professional development modules for teachers. She is equally at ease as an administrator and practices firmness combined with friendliness. As the head of the institution she believes in being accessible to students, staff, and parents and in being open to suggestions that will take the school to next level.


MS.G. Cinymol – Vice Principal

Ms G .Cinymol ,the Vice Principal of Ganges Valley. She took office on 16 March, 2020. M.Sc in Mathematics and MA in Psychology, she has also done her masters in Education from Osmania University. She is also a qualified teacher at Cambridge A level Math, both introductory and advanced and was the first person in the AP and Telangana to be accredited as a Cambridge PDQ Program leader. She is a qualified IBDP Math HL and MATH AA(Analysis and Approaches), HL teacher.

She has 24 years of rich experience of having taught in four different curricula - State,CBSE, Cambridge A levels and IBDP and during these years she headed the Math department in some of the best schools in the twin cities. Later she moved to being the A levels coordinator and adopted successful strategies to get better results in board classes. She also served a tenure as the Head Mistress (academics), where she was responsible for enhancing the quality of teaching learning from grade I- XII.

Ms Cinymol strongly believes that we ought to make this generation responsible and accountable for their learning. She is ready to embrace new pedagogical practices that keep pace with changing times. Her ideas are very much in tune with the Ganges philosophy that learning has to be a joyful experience .

She strongly believes in the maxim of a sound mind dwelling in a sound body and that mental health and well being is as important, if not more, as physical health. In this endeavour she finds music and books the best tools that help keep mind, soul and body healthy. Having roots in Kerala, but lived in Hyderabad throughout, she considers herself a staunch Hyderabadi. She has faith that the concept of global citizenship which is the need of the hour can take shape in schools only.


Ms. Arpita Kothari - Headmistress

Arpita Kothari is the Headmistress of the Pre Primary and Primary departments of Ganges Valley School. She is in-charge of managing and developing the framework for childcare and active learning.

She is an experienced teacher and school manager who has taught over the years in India, Nigeria and Ghana.

Arpita was in charge of Training and Development in IBM India Limited as Assistant Manager, and Senior Trainer in Hero Mindmine (Training Division of Hero Corporate Services). Hence she has had corporate experience as well. She has worked as the head of the department at the Prime Primary College in Kano, Nigeria.

She is known to be a goal-getter manager and an administrator with passion.

Prior to her appointment as the Headmistress of Ganges Valley School she was the Principal for the Kiddie College Department of the British International School, Ghana.

Arpita holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hon.) in History from the University of Delhi, a Diploma in French from Alliance Francaise and a Diploma in Commercial Arts. She has 20 plus years of experience in the field of training and education.
